Review
A 12-acre hotel with 360 air-conditioned rooms in world-famous Aruba unfolds before you with a treasure
trove of wonders just waiting to be discovered. Stroll peacefully along
endless beaches and charming stone walkways, enjoy snorkeling in crystal
waters and experience the thrill of casino games in the 12,000 sq
ft of gaming space in the luxurious Copacabana Casino, and a wondrous
assortment of treatments and facilities at the Stillwater Spa and Fitness
Center and dazzling
entertainment.
From the secluded terrace of your oceanfront suite, you can view the
subtle blend of Spanish, Dutch and Caribbean culture. Unwind in one of two
outdoor whirlpools nestled under swaying palms at our Palm Beach hotel.
Dive into a magnificent swimming pool with cascading waterfalls and rocket
down the water slide.
Amenity highlights:
Sprawling amid flowering tropical gardens and an enormous freshwater
lagoon stocked with fish, an 8,000-square-foot pool complex features a
two-story serpentine water slide and six-person ocean-view spa. A
three-level pool offers a lower activities section containing a swim-up
bar and an upper quiet section. Palm Beach runs 2 miles in front of the
Hyatt Regency and other resorts. Rental water-sports gear is available at
numerous centers, including one within the resort. Snorkeling, scuba
diving, and sailing excursions and cruises are widely available.
Insider tip:
Macaws, parrots, and a black-and-yellow toucan with a giant, Technicolor
beak are scattered throughout the central gardens. Most are housed in
cages, but an uncaged, raucous choir of macaws enlivens the pool scene.
If you prefer something more active, our water sports center provides
diving, deep-sea fishing and unforgettable sunset catamaran cruises. Enjoy
tennis on our lighted courts or shape up in our fitness center, offering
sauna, steam, facials and massage.

November 22, 2004
Me and my husband went on our honeymoon to Aruba and stayed at the
Hyatt. We absolutely loved the resort. From the moment we arrived at
the Hyatt, I fell in love with this property. The lobby is so
beautiful and unique since it is an open lobby. We wanted a relaxing
excape and the Hyatt provided that beyond our expectations. We stayed
in a mid level room, which was very clean and cozy. The restaurants
are fabulous, delicious and beautiful. The beach is just so nice and
relaxing and very clean as are the pools. We would walk everyday to
other hotels and the Hyatt just doesn't compare to any of them. Even
the Radisson which is beautiful, was not as nice as the hyatt. I could
go on and on about how we loved the Hyatt Aruba, but all I have to say
is that we are planning to go back to the Hyatt for our first
anniversary!

Just returned from the Hyatt
for the sixth consecutive year and wouldn't look or stay at any
other hotel, the staff is like family to us, the Aruba people are so
warm and friendly and the hotel is beautiful. The restaurants in the
Hyatt are wonderful and there are so many on the island that are
also wonderful, you just have to go to see for yourself.
Look forward to returning again Feb. 2006.

Frommer's
Review
This elegant nine-story beachfront resort has stunning public spaces and
a stellar reputation. Monumental cactus plants stud the refined lobby,
and massive wrought-iron chandeliers give the grand, breezy entrance the
air of an alcazar in Seville. Past the lobby, carpets of bougainvillea,
moss-covered boulders, and towering palms spill down to a multilevel
pool where exotic macaws and toucans doze. This full-service hotel
offers first-rate amenities and some of the most elaborate guest
programs on the island. Although attractively furnished with
Deco-inspired furniture and modern carnival colors, the rooms are
significantly smaller than the Marriott's. And the "Parisian" balconies
offer just enough room for one person to stand. The good-size bathrooms
were recently renovated. Overlooking the pool area, standard rooms have
no balcony. Other rooms provide vistas of the pool and ocean, while
garden units boast views of the lush tropical foliage. The 18 suites
vary in size, but all are spacious, with good balconies, and some
feature extras like stereo systems and in-room fitness equipment. Built
in 1990, the hotel conducts ongoing renovations, and the room decor
changes every 18 months.
